Going Solo in Orchard
i spent a freaking 7 hours at orchard road today, loitering... alone
wat happened was, i was there at 8.30am to take a written test. afterwhich they said, the director will go thru the papers n shortlist some candidates for a round of interviews. i finished the test at 10ish - 11am. the HR guy said they'll call us on whether or not we passed the written test round, n interviews will be scheduled after lunch. i went borders, kino n then the library. i almost fell asleep, if not for a particular someone who sms-ed n 'entertained' me for awhile :P by 2.30 i couldn't stand it liao, n called them up. the lady said the director has yet to revert, should be anytime soon. i then left the library to go walk around before i freeze in there n need someone to carry me out to thaw.
aiyo, i was tempted to buy quite a few items, but i can't! coz i didn't drive, i couldn't possibly go shopping n then carry my shopping bags to my interview if i happen to get shortlisted rite? control.. control. gd too, i can save money, haaa. i called up several times again, but no one picked up. wtf, what r they up to. i gave up at 4.30 n finally bought 2 items i have been eyeing earlier, to compensate for the whole blardy day being wasted!!
dad told me to call them up tmr n tell them i need the job so much tat i waited till 12 midnite. tat i stayed in the lobby n fell asleep while waiting for their call. upon waking up, i checked my hp, with no missed calls from them, i had to sadly go home n pay midnite charge for my cab ride, hahaha. yes, my dad's still pretty corny aft all these yrs
