A Night with Sally
was feeling nostalgic n went to attend the sally yeh's concert on sat with BY. i gave a miss for her concert last yr, mainly coz it was a concert with her hubby george lam. so how's the concert?
venue pretty much sucked. the songs selection wasn't too good either. she spent like half an hour singing english songs, maybe another 15-20 mins singing chinese opera. aiyo... she got so many good songs of her own!! y can't she just sing them?!?! so many good songs missing, sigh.. wat a waste! but of coz, she was her ever charismatic self. bantering around with the audience in all 3 languages (english, cantonese n mandarin), talking about her 'pineapple' hair style, her putting on of weight, her fear of the dress bursting, shaking her bon bon on stage so she can see herself on the big screen doing that, etc. well, though she put on a lil weight, she is still sooo hot! she played badminton on stage even!! n giving out soft toy pigs during her walk amongst the audience.
but most importantly, she still managed to wow us all with her vocals. i mean, frankly, who can perform songs like, we will rock you, dancing queen, we are the champions, unchained melody, black humour (jay chou), phantom of the opera, chiquitita, my way, etc etc so flawlessly. rock, pop, jazz, opera!! i can only think of sally yeh actually, don't think even anita could carry it off.
well, so the concert wasn't perfect, but it was a good evening :)
