Posers
clarke quay has come alive once again after so many years with the opening of many new clubs, especially the cannery. well, with the exception of crazy horse closing down lar.
a last minute decision brought me to barfly the past weekend. dressed in tee, berms n flip flops, i felt kinda outta place. well, the place was pretty lush n nice. after 15mins of sitting there, looking around, i tot... y isit tat people come here? well, to start with, it doesn't have a dance floor, so basically, they shouldn't be here to dance the nite away. all i see around me r people talking... or should i say shouting, so tat their friends could hear them above the loud music. i'm confused here, so people like to go to a place where they have to compete against the music to make themselves heard?!!
we left in 30mins after finishing our snacks n drinks. i guess i'm not those who like to end up with a sore throat just to be seen in the latest hip n happening venues. shouldn't a cafe, or even, a kopitiam be a more appropriate place?? well, it would for me.. to sit there, chatting comfortably, happily dressed in my tee, berms n flip flops :P
