During my younger days...
i was a groupie for almost all boybands, nkotb, take that, backstreet boys, boyzone, caught in the act, etc. i buy all their cds, buy every issue of smash hits magazine, u'll see me at all the autograph sessions, take photos of and with them, scream my head off, etc. only thing i don't do was to wait at the airport for their arrivals. the airport was jus too far lar!
2005, backstreet boys regrouped and released their album 'never gone'... recently, take that regrouped (minus robbie williams) and release their album 'beautiful world'.
take that was the boyband that i was head over heels for in the past. during my trip to uk, i bought every book and vhs of take that i can put my hands on. i also went for their concert at the indoor stadium. right after school, i went home to change into my take that t-shirt, then took a cab with my frenz to kallang n q-ed up (coz we bought the free standing tix). we waited from 3pm+ to 8pm. the concert was CRAZY!! we squeezed like mad, we screamed like mad. security passed bottles of mineral water ard for us to drink, we didn't bother sharing it with strangers around us, coz if not we might have passed out, hahah. security also sprayed water ard. several gers really passed out and were carried to the front. it was a madhouse.
gary barlow and mark owen went solo. i went all the way to sentosa alone to catch mark's concert when he was in sg to promote his album, hahaha. singing, screaming... i even ran after the van which was bringing him back to the resort at sijori :S
i've awakened that groupie in me again after watching all recent take that videos on youtube, haha. they still look the same actually. though i think all of them (other than gary barlow) need a haircut. though, mark still looks gorgeous, keke. BY has bought the new album already. told her to burn me a copy and she said no. humph! she said i should support them n buy their album. give them some funds n maybe they'll have a world tour and come to sg again. hahaha, i really doubt it. but oh well, yeah... i'll go buy the album tis wk :P
btw, isit the trend now? i heard that all saints r regrouping for a new album too. who's next? spice girls? LOL
