a rather busy weekend...
but it was pretty good. had my virgin visit to a few places :)
a group of us went to the MINT toy museum at seah street. we managed to get in at a discounted rate, keke. I actually expected prolly just a roomful of toys, but was amazed that there was actually 4 full levels of toys. we got ourselves a guide who brought us thru the toys and explained their history, origin, value, etc. my fav collection has got to be the tintin collection, VERY nice.
after dozing off n watching tvb drama at LY's place, while they play mahjong.. i went to meet WL for dinner at the newly renovated tiong bahru mkt. nice! its clean, bright, big n has free parking! keke. but it was damn blardy hot!! i was prespiring even before i started eating. phew!! many stores were closed, think the uncles all close shop earlier to go home and watch the world cup, grrrr...
next stop, we went to sanliu bar at anchorpoint to celebrate annie's birthday. we can now say she's starting on her 30's, keke. but she sure has alot of energy compared to us in our mid-20's. i basically spent the nite watching the match between england n portugal. no, i'm not a soccer fan.. but i quit smoking n dun drink much nowadays mah, so i gotta find something to distract myself wat, heee. m glad england lost!! muahahaha...
sunday was basically dogs grooming n housekeeping day. i went to watch 'superman returns' with my family at nite. hmmm, a lil too draggy n i expected more action. for such a plot, 2.5hrs was just too long. brandon routh is v.good looking as superman, swoon.... but i thought kate bosworth looked better in her previous movies like 'blue crush' n 'win a date with tad hamilton'. i prefer her as a blonde. n for me, she doesn't exactly fit into the image of lois lane
