Technology & An Idiot
met up w the gers on thurs evening for a ktv session. i dropped by the library before that and passed b my mobile phone, coz b's mobile was flat. i reached the ktv place at 6.45pm n asked for the room no our reservation was made under. he said room 48 n mentioned no one was here yet when asked. so i went in n sang alone first... 7pm... 7.15pm... 7.30pm... still no one!! the room wasn't reserved under my name, n i was afraid the others didn't know and couldn't check from the counter, so now n then, i kept going out to see if they're here already.
7.45pm... i didn't have my mobile, so i went to the counter n asked to borrow their phone. they unwillingly agreed n asked for the number to dial :S y can't i dial the number myself?! anyway, i could only remember ling's no., but the line was engaged. so i decided to call b to ask for zhen's number, but the line got cut off after a while. i was done with the waiting n decided to leave. i asked for the bill, the guy asked his manager n it was decided that there's no need for me to pay since i've only been there for awhile. that was nice of them :)
n so, feeling pissed with the whole wide world, i left looking for a pay phone. there were just so few pay phones around! n every booth i went seemed to be in use or spoilt. i'm surprised actually, how come there's still people using pay phones nowadays?? there were even Qs lor! how come huh?! everyone lost their mobile phones?! anyway, i finally found one at paragon, n called b. i asked for zhen's contact n then called zhen. then did i know, they were in room 19!!! n they have been there since 6.30pm!! so what does tis mean?!?!!? the fella at the counter made a mistake n sent me to another room, while my friends were in yet another room!! grrrrrr... i bet the gers must have thought that i'm with b, n taking my own sweet time making my way to the ktv
u know, now with technology, we're so dependent on them. its like when i'm without my mobile, there's just tat handful of numbers i remember lor!! n i feel so lost not being able to make a call as n when i like. but all in all, who's to blame for tis episode? the idiotic fella at the counter!! i so feel like murdering him!! grrrrr.....
